Positive Workforce is excited to announce a new employment-focused partnership with the Real Dads Network (RDN), created under the federally funded FORGE Fatherhood Initiative. This collaboration aims to improve father engagement, promote family well-being, and increase economic mobility through coordinated support systems.
Through this partnership, fathers served by RDN will have access to Positive Workforce’s career training and job placement programs, while fathers participating in Positive Workforce programs will benefit from RDN’s parenting education, mentoring, and fatherhood-specific support services.
How the Partnership Works:
- Fathers referred by RDN will have access to high-quality workforce training, including OSHA & Site Safety, Carpentry 101, Plumbing Basics, and Electrical 101.
- Fathers in Positive Workforce programs will be able to join RDN’s parenting and mentoring programs to strengthen family bonds and parenting skills.
- Each organization will track progress and share outcomes quarterly, ensuring measurable success in job placement, skill-building, and family engagement.
“This partnership gives fathers the tools they need both at home and at work,” said Derek Phillips, Founder & CEO of Real Dads Network. “When fathers succeed in the workplace, their families and the whole community benefit.”
By coordinating resources, Positive Workforce and RDN will support fathers throughout the year with training opportunities, ongoing case management, and mentorship, helping them secure stable jobs and strengthen family bonds.
This partnership is a five-year commitment, with annual reviews to ensure goals are met and programs are continuously improved.
Together, Positive Workforce and Real Dads Network are building ladders to success for fathers, families, and communities. For more information visit: https://positiveworkforce.org/news/
