OSHA & Site Safety Training
Positive Workforce offers in-person OSHA 30-Hour and NYC Site Safety Training (SST 10-Hour) to prepare workers and supervisors to recognize and prevent workplace hazards. Training also includes vital information on workers’ rights and employer responsibilities. As part of our advanced training program, graduates receive additional support with trade-specific exam prep, interview coaching, and OSHA certifications, ensuring they are workforce-ready with both technical knowledge and soft skills.
Electrical 101 – Power Up Your Future in the Electrical Trades
Our electrical training program offers a comprehensive introduction to the electrical trade, combining classroom theory with hands-on practical instruction. Participants gain an overview of an electrician’s role and responsibilities while learning the fundamentals of electrical safety, relevant codes, basic testing procedures, and proper documentation practices. This course prepares individuals for entry-level opportunities and further advancement in the electrical field. Training is conducted in person and provides a structured and supportive environment for developing essential trade skills.
Carpentry 101 – Build Your Skills from the Ground Up
Our carpentry training program offers a strong introduction to the construction trades through a combination of classroom learning and hands-on experience. Participants gain essential skills in understanding building materials, safely operating hand and power tools, and reading construction drawings. The training also covers the fundamentals of constructing floor and wall systems, providing a practical foundation for real-world job sites. This course is conducted in person and is designed to prepare individuals for entry-level positions in carpentry and related construction fields. Plumbing 101 – Lay the Foundation for a Career in Plumbing
Our plumbing training program introduces participants to the essential skills and knowledge needed to begin a career in the plumbing trade. The course covers the role and responsibilities of a plumber, with focused instruction on plumbing safety, basic plumbing math, reading plumbing drawings, and understanding tools, materials, and common plumbing systems. Designed to build both confidence and competence, this training provides a strong starting point for entry-level employment or further trade advancement. All sessions are conducted in person, ensuring hands-on learning in a supportive environment.
